[ THE TRADITIONAL PAIN POINTS ]

AREX began with simple problems.

Underwater, the most important information often lives on your wrist. Which means constant checking and moments where your attention leaves the dive. WHEN YOUR ATTENTION LEAVES THE DIVE, RISKS ARISE.

Diver checking wrist computer underwater

01

Immersion Breaker

Checking information on your wrist requires continuously distract your attention to raise your wrist, diverting your eyes from underwater exploration for seconds.

Diver filming underwater while checking wrist telemetry

02

Photography

Keep your eyes on the subject, not your wrist. With your depth and NDL always in sight, you'll never miss a perfect shot.

Diver overwhelmed by emergency task load

03

Handling Emergencies

In high-stress situations, checking a watch breaks your focus.
AREX keeps your remaining gas and crucial depth limits right in front of you when every second counts.

What if all the informations are right where you need them?

Frequently Asked Questions

How is AREX different from a wrist dive computer? [ + ] EXPAND

A wrist computer gives you the data you need. AREX changes where and when you see it. Critical information such as depth, time, gas, and decompression status is available in your natural line of sight, so you do not need to repeatedly look down at your wrist. When the dive is stable, AREX can reduce the interface to keep your view clear. When more information is needed, it is there immediately. The goal is not more screen time. It is less interruption during the dive.

Will the display block my view, distract me, or be difficult to read underwater? [ + ] EXPAND

AREX is designed to keep the underwater environment in view, not turn your field of view into a screen. You decide how much information is shown. When depth and dive state remain stable, the system can automatically hide non-essential information. Depth and NDL can remain in a fixed position, or be hidden until needed. Divers can also reveal or hide information directly through controls or head gestures. The display has been evaluated in bright daylight, night dives, and low-visibility water. It remains readable in normal sunlit conditions, though, like any display, it is not intended to be read while looking directly at the sun.

Does AREX put a screen in front of my eyes? [ + ] EXPAND

No. AREX does not place a conventional screen in front of your view. A compact Optical Display Engine sends light through a transparent optical waveguide, guiding the image into your natural line of sight. The result is dive information that appears where you can glance at it, while the underwater environment remains visible around it.

Can AREX work as a standalone dive computer? What does it support? [ + ] EXPAND

Yes. AREX is a standalone dive computer. Once configured, it does not require a phone, network connection, or wrist computer during the dive. It supports air, nitrox, and trimix; single- and multi-cylinder configurations; and up to five gas switches. AREX uses the Buehlmann ZHL-16C decompression algorithm and includes core dive-computer functions such as decompression tracking, compass, temperature, alerts, and dive logging. A phone is used for initial setup and device management. CCR support is in development and is not part of the initial release.

Does AREX fit and operate like a normal dive mask? What about prescription lenses? [ + ] EXPAND

Yes. Clearing, equalizing, and basic mask handling work the same way as with a conventional dive mask. AREX has gone through more than 30 silicone-skirt iterations, informed by in-water fit testing focused on seal and long-dive comfort. Custom prescription lenses will be available as an optional accessory.
